The world as seen by Al Gore’s sycophants

This has been the coldest, windiest Spring in the last 10 years in Atlanta.

I am sick and tired of the “tree-hugger”, politically-correct mindset mentality which is dictating the direction of our energy policies.

Human-induced global warming is a pathetic hoax.

I say drill the heck out of Anwar to get more oil than we’ve used in the last 100 years –– and shut-down the oil company lobbyists so we can create alternative fuels to release us from the grip of dependence on foreign oil.

What would Ripley Do?

She sure as hell wouldn’t pay $4 a gallon for regular!

(Al Gore) ” Well as you can see by this chart right here, in 20 years the earth will have a 600 fold increase in carbon dioxide gases and a 300 fold increase in temperature making the average temperature in janurary 1500 degrees Fahrenheit….at least by my calculations” ……………BBBBBBB bulllllshittttt

I have a friend I’ve known for almost 30 years. When I met him, he was a clerk at Radio Shack while awaiting word on a job at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. After working on “flybyes” of Jupiter, Saturn etc. his job was being eliminated, so he got his Ph.D. from Cal Tech. Lately, he has become a tenured professor in the Atmospheric Sciences department (i.e. weather) at the University of Arizona. While he hates G.W. Bush with the best of them, he (and his entire department), thinks the general (and media) reaction to climate change (he will not call it “global warming” ;) is along the same lines as Mr. Wood’s. In other words, nonsense. When feeling charitable, he will say Al Gore’s theories are “not yet proven.”

Conserving natural resources, recycling when appropriate, building more nuclear power plants = good. But kissing Western Europe’s ass (they are the prime movers here and much of the inspiration for the political movement we are discussing) = bad, at least without far more accurate and measurable science. BTW, how are the Western European nations doing regarding the limits they set for themselves in the lamebrained Kyoto Accords? Yup, thought so. Talking the talk without walking the walk.

Although this is off topic it is currently 1:40 am and I have been hunting fruit flies for a few hours. Let me tell you these little bastards are hard to catch and nearly cost me a broken mirror, fractured hand, numb hands from excessive attempts to “clap” them dead not to mention it woulda been one hell of a show had i been on film. So heres the remedy that I found that attracts and kills these little pesky f*ckers…1/2 cup red wine vinegar, teaspoon of dishwashing soap, and a sprinkle of sugar. Draws them in and then drowns their ass ha HAA! It’s too bad Al Gore can’t come up with a solution for a REAL problem like fruit flies…until next time the hunt continues…

perhaps the term “global warming” isn’t true, but no one can deny the huge effect that we have on this planet. there is more CO2 floating around than in the last 650,000 years than this planet has ever seen. maybe we don’t have global warming, but we are fending off an ice age. since the last ice age was about 11,000 years ago, we are due for one in the next few thousand years, but most scientists agree that “something” that has happened in the last 300 years has made is such an impact that we will not have another ice age any time soon.

you might think it’s bullshit, but we still need to reduce our waste production….and our biological footprint. if you want to read a really interesting book on what we have really done to the planet (yes, it has a scientific bibliography), read Alan Weisman’s “The World Without Us”. It’s fascinating.
